Alexandra Jordan
Dr. Jordan received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. A diverse range of clinical training experiences — including positions at Bellevue Hospital, Silver Hill Hospital, and the Yale Stress Center — provide her with a strong base of knowledge to enrich case conceptualization and treatment. Dr. Jordan practices with an integrative theoretical orientation, drawing from a range of clinical theory, techniques, and empirical research to allow for the tailoring of treatment to meet the particular needs of individuals and families. In both her academic research and clinical work, Dr. Jordan has focused on the life stage of adolescence, which provides a unique opportunity for therapeutic intervention that has a lifelong impact.
Dr. Jordan is excited to be a part of the Krasner Adolescent Institute, where an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assessment allows for a richer understanding of a family system’s needs. Equipped with this knowledge, Dr. Jordan believes there is an unrivaled opportunity for more effective clinical treatment that promotes emotional growth and positive outcomes for the entire family system.
In her spare time, Dr. Jordan enjoys gardening, listening to music, playing tennis, and spending time with her family.
