Andrea MacGilpin

My therapeutic work is tailored to each individual client’s needs, drawing from various evidence-based therapeutic models, fostering a compassionate and individualized approach for each client. With a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University, I bring extensive experience working with individuals across various age groups and mental health challenges.

My career highlights include working with teens and adults of varying ages.  Over the years, I provided counseling, led groups, and facilitated alternative learning programs, including the establishment of a Life College for young adults in 2013, emphasizing independent living and mental health. In addition, my expertise extends to adults and parents, helping them navigate stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges, and fostering meaningful personal growth goals.

As a parent of three, I empathize and understand the many complexities of parenthood. To address this need, I offer specialized support through the SPACE (Supportive Parenting of Anxious Childhood Emotions) program from Yale University, designed for parents to help their children and adolescents grapple with anxiety, OCD, and other related issues.

I am genuinely passionate about supporting you on your journey. My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and creating a safe space for exploration and growth. Together, we can navigate the challenges you face, cultivate resilience, and equip you with tools that instill confidence in your life.
