Noah Hendler
Noah Hendler is currently finalizing his dual-board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Johns Hopkins University. A board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2012, Noah integrates Compassion-Focused Therapies, Buddhist Psychology, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into his practice, emphasizing empathetic and effective patient care. His extensive experience spans emergency medicine, routine care for all ages, and leadership in developing innovative healthcare delivery systems.
Beginning his career as a photojournalist, Noah documented vulnerable populations worldwide, gaining invaluable insights into human resilience and suffering. This background, coupled with an AB in Comparative Religion from Duke University and a Master’s in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU, has equipped him with a unique perspective on healthcare challenges.
Inspired to transition to healthcare after witnessing the critical role nurses played during a close friend's battle with leukemia, and from his experience authoring a book on the role of chaplains in hospitals, Noah has made significant contributions to both patient care and systemic healthcare improvements.
Beyond clinical practice, Noah is a recognized innovator and co-founder of the Society of Nurse Scientists, Innovators, Entrepreneurs, and Leaders (SONSIEL). He has pioneered new care models and advanced health technologies, including launching national bundled payments and creating the first fellowship for nurse innovators in collaboration with Johnson and Johnson.
